Morgan State Wrestling Faces Tough Competition at Bucknell Quad Match

LEWISBURG, Pa. (Dec. 21, 2025) – Morgan State wrestlers battled through a difficult day at Sunday's Bucknell Quad Match at Sojka Pavilion in Lewisburg, Pa.

The Bears dropped decisions to Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) opponents Bucknell (50–0) and Hofstra (54–0) before closing the meet with a loss to the University of Virginia (55–0).

Struggling to gain momentum while dealing with injuries throughout the lineup, Morgan State fell to 0–10 on the season and 0–4 in conference action.

"It was an extremely challenging day for the Bears," said Morgan State head coach Kenny Monday. "We faced some adversity we haven't experienced as a program, but we believe we can grow from it and become stronger."

"This time of year is always tough with the holidays and cold and flu season, and battling illness and injuries makes it difficult to compete at a high level," added Monday. "We've had some solid performances in the first half of the season, and now it's important for our guys to reset, spend time with their families, and come back ready to work."

Up Next: Morgan State returns to action Jan. 3–4, competing in the Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
