Morgan State Wrestling Set to Compete at Ohio Showcase

BALTIMORE, Md. (Nov. 7, 2025) – The Morgan State wrestling team is headed to Athens, Ohio, to compete in the Ohio Showcase hosted by the Ohio Bobcats on Saturday night inside the Convocation Center.

The Bears and Bobcats will share the mats with several other programs, as the showcase will feature concurrent dual meets across NCAA divisions. The Division II dual meet will pair Ashland University against UIndy, while the Division III matchup will feature Baldwin Wallace and UIndy.

Under fourth-year head coach Kenny Monday, Morgan State is coming off a solid outing at the Navy Classic in Annapolis, Md. Sophomore Eugene Harney claimed runner-up honors at 149 pounds, and fellow sophomore Javaan Yarbrough finished sixth at 133 pounds. Both made their first appearances at the Navy Classic, highlighting the Bears' promising start to the season.

The host Ohio Bobcats, under head coach Joel Greenlee in his 27th season, are coming off competition at the Southeast Open in Virginia, highlighted by Carson Weber capturing the title in the 149-pound freshman/sophomore bracket.

Action begins at 5 p.m. inside the Convocation Center. The Division I dual featuring Morgan State and Ohio will stream live on ESPN+, while the Division II and Division III duals will be available on YouTube.
