SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (Nov. 28, 2025)--Morgan State concluded the Thanksgiving weekend and its first-ever participation in the Discover Puerto Rico Shootout, with a 101-39 loss to 16
th-ranked Kentucky on Friday evening at Coliseo Guillermo Angulo.

The Lady Bears (1-8), who are in the midst of a season-long six-game losing skid, concluded the tournament, going 0-3 for the week. Kentucky improved to 8-1 on the season and went 1-1 in San Juan.

Mihjae Hayes led Morgan State with 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting.
Ja'la Bannerman came off the bench to score nine points and had a team-high two assists.
Success Prysock came off the bench to haul in a team-leading five rebounds.

Kentucky's Asia Boone scored a season-high 21 points, while Jordan Obi added 17 and Teonni Key finished with 16 points. Kaelyn Carroll recorded a career-high 15 points and Clara Strack had 13 points for the Wildcats.

The Wildcats shot 40-of-69 from the floor (58 percent) and were 11-of-29 (37.9 percent) from three-point range. Kentucky shot 76.9 percent (10-for-13) from the free throw line.

Kentucky scored 50 points in the paint, and its bench tallied 44 points. The Wildcats forced 22 Morgan State turnovers, which they turned into 31 points.

The Lady Bears were held to 12 field goals on 37 attempts for 32 percent. They would go 4-for-9 (44 percent) from beyond the arc and knocked down 11-of-18 (61 percent) from the free throw line.

Morgan State will begin the month of December with a trip to Toledo, Ohio to face the Rockets of the University of Toledo in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference vs. Mid-American Conference contest on Tuesday, Dec. 2. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. at Savage Arena and will air live on ESPN+.

The Rockets (2-3) are coming off a defeated Youngstown State, 69-65 on Tuesday in Youngstown. Towson graduate transfer Patricia Anumgba scored a game-high 18 points, while knocking down four three-pointers in the win for Toledo. Evalyse Cole scored 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting, pulled down six rebounds and dished out four assists with two steals. Faith Fedd-Robinson recorded her first career double-double with 13 points and a game-high 10 rebounds to go with three assists and two blocks.
