BALTIMORE, Md. (Nov. 23, 2025)--Gabby Reynolds came off the bench to score a game-high 18 points to lead four George Washington players in double figures scoring on Sunday afternoon, as the Revolutionaries defeated Morgan State, 82-56 at the Charles E. Smith Center.

Colleen Phiri finished with 13 points and Kamari Sims and Tanah Becker added 12 and 10 points, respectively, and each had a game-high three steals.

George Washington (2-4) ended its four-game losing skid, while Morgan State fell to 1-5 and has now lost a season-long three straight. The Revolutionaries have won four straight against Morgan State and now lead the all-time series, 6-4.

The Lady Bears were led by
Mihjae Hayes and
Ja'la Bannerman, who each scored 11 points. Hayes finished with a game-high six assists.
Tiyanna James and
Michaela Bogans each scored eight points in a reserve role.

Morgan State scored the game's first six points with Bannerman connecting on 4-of-5 from the free throw line during the run. The Revs got on the board with a three-pointer from Reynolds, which triggered a 20-7 run to close out the first quarter and give the hosts a 20-13 lead. GW would hold a 39-28 advantage at the intermission.

Morgan State shot 18-of-43 from the floor and was 5-for-9 from three-point range. GW shot 27-of-63 for the game and was 7-of-24 from beyond the arc. The Revs outrebounded Morgan State 42-25 and held a 34-16 cushion in points in the paint. Â Â

Morgan State will head to San Juan, Puerto Rico to spend the Thanksgiving break participating in the Puerto Rico Shootout (Nov. 26-28). The Lady Bears will open up play on Wednesday, Nov. 26 against Wake Forest at 3 p.m. ET, and will take on Rice on Thanksgiving Day at 5:30 p.m. ET. Morgan State will close out the tournament on Friday, Nov. 28 against Kentucky at 5:30 p.m.
