Former Morgan State Bears Excel in Professional Leagues Overseas

BALTIMORE, Md. (October 29, 2025) — Former Morgan State men's basketball standouts are continuing to make their presence felt on the international stage, showcasing their talents across professional leagues worldwide. Several alumni are off to strong starts this season, proudly representing the Bears around the world. From scoring performances to key defensive contributions, these former Bears are demonstrating the skill and determination refined during their time in Baltimore—proving that the Morgan State legacy reaches far beyond American shores.

Stanley Davis Jr.

Stanley Davis Jr., a 6'5" guard who played for Morgan State from 2016–20, is off to an impressive start in the North Macedonian Prva Liga. Davis played a pivotal role in leading KK TFT Skopje to an 82–64 victory over Cair 2030, earning MVP honors for his outstanding performance. He scored 24 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in just 26 minutes of play. His team remains unbeaten at 4–0, currently sitting third in the league standings. Davis is averaging 13.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.

Troy Baxter Jr.

In Qatar, Troy Baxter Jr. (2019–21) made an immediate impact for Al Shamal, helping the team secure a 92–72 win over Al Khor. The 6'9" forward posted 16 points and 4 blocks in his first game of the season. With Al Shamal currently ranked sixth in the Qatari QBL and just four games remaining in the regular season, Baxter's contributions will be key as the team pushes for a playoff berth.

Kameron Hobbs

Meanwhile, in the Netherlands, Kameron Hobbs (2022–25) is making his presence felt during his first professional campaign. Despite Leeuwarden's 0–6 record, Hobbs has been a consistent bright spot, leading his team with 25 points and 3 assists in a close 96–100 loss to the Leuven Bears. He is averaging 11.8 points, 1.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.5 steals per game, showing promising potential early in his career.

Malik Miller

Another former Bear, Malik Miller (2018–23), is also competing in the Dutch league with Groningen (3–2), which is off to a solid start this season. Further updates on Miller's recent performances will be provided as the season progresses.
