Morgan State Wrestling's 2025-26 Schedule is Ready to Roar

The Bears will feature seven home duals.

BALTIMORE, Md. (Oct. 27, 2025) — Morgan State head wrestling coach Kenny Monday has announced the program's complete 2025-26 season schedule, highlighted by seven home duals — including matchups against four nationally ranked opponents in InterMat's preseason top 30.

"We're excited about the schedule we've put together," said Coach Monday. "It's a great mix of national competition and high-caliber programs that will help our guys develop and prepare for championship season."

Morgan State, the nation's only NCAA Division I HBCU wrestling program, opens its season on Sunday, Nov. 2, at the Navy Classic hosted by the U.S. Naval Academy at Wesley A. Brown Field House. The Bears will then travel to Athens, Ohio, for a dual against Ohio University.

The home slate kicks off on Sunday, Nov. 16, when the Bears host Duke and EIWA member Drexel in a highly anticipated home-opening doubleheader. The following week, on Friday, Nov. 21, Morgan welcomes No. 18 Maryland to Hill Field House for a marquee matchup against the Big Ten power — a prime opportunity for the Bears to measure themselves against a nationally ranked foe.

Morgan will wrap up November at the Big Red Invitational hosted by Cornell University on Sunday, Nov. 23, before heading to Raleigh, N.C., to face NC State and No. 17 Rutgers on Dec. 7.

The Bears return home on Sunday, Dec. 14, to take on No. 24 Purdue, before closing out the calendar year with a road trip to Bucknell on Dec. 21.

The New Year begins in Chattanooga, Tenn., where Morgan will compete in the prestigious Southern Scuffle (Jan. 3-4), hosted by the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. From there, the Bears visit Columbia in New York City on Jan. 16, followed by a West Coast swing featuring duals at California Baptist (Jan. 31) and Cal Poly (Feb. 1).

Morgan returns to Hill Field House on Friday, Feb. 6, for a showdown with No. 7 Lehigh, before heading to Washington, D.C., to face American University two days later. The Bears then close out the regular season with a pair of home matches — against Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday, Feb. 11, and Sacred Heart on Saturday, Feb. 14.

American University will host the 2026 EIWA Championships on March 6-7 at Bender Arena in Washington, D.C. The season will culminate at the NCAA Division I Championships, scheduled for March 19-21 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio.

This year's NCAA Championships will be held on March 19-21 at the Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.
