Morgan State's men's basketball team is poised for a successful season with the return of veteran leader Kameron Hobbs. As a redshirt junior in the 2023-24 campaign, Hobbs played a crucial role as the team's primary facilitator, averaging an impressive 3.4 assists per game. His ability to create scoring opportunities for his teammates earned him the No. 4 spot in the MEAC rankings.

Hobbs' contributions extended beyond his play-making abilities. He averaged 10.1 points per game, showcasing his offensive versatility. His efficiency from the field and beyond the arc, shooting 40% and 35%, respectively, further solidified him as one of the top shot-makers in the league..

The Stockbridge, Ga. product set a new Morgan State record by dishing out 15 assists vs. Virginia-Lynchburg on Dec. 9 … the previous record was 14 held by Jerrell Green versus Coppin State on Dec. 7, 2006.

As the twilight of his collegiate career approaches, Hobbs is expected to guide the Bears to even greater heights in the 2024-25 season. He is determined to lead his team to the pinnacle of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), a championship that has eluded the Bears for far too long.
