BALTIMORE, Md. (Feb. 25, 2024)--Morgan State heads home to welcome defending Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) champion and league leader Norfolk State to Hill Field House on Monday, Feb. 26 at 5:30 p.m. for Military Appreciation Night.

BEAR CLAWS:Â Morgan State (7-17, 2-7 MEAC) is in the midst of a three-game losing skid, following its 70-47 loss at rival Howard on Saturday.
Joelle Johnson scored a career-high 20 points in defeat. Johnson, who shot 9-of-14 from the floor, scored 15 of her points in the second half and added four rebounds and two steals.
Jael Butler finished with a game-high eight rebounds to go with seven points, while
Tamaria Rumph came off the bench and tallied eight points. Morgan State committed 24 turnovers, which Howard turned into 34 points.
SPARTAN LEGION:Â Norfolk State (20-5, 9-1 MEAC) enters Monday's game riding an eight-game winning streak, following a 64-51 road win at Coppin State on Saturday. Kierra Wheeler led four Spartans in double figures scoring with a game-high 22 points. She also pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds to record her 11
th double-double of the season. Diamond Johnson and Da'Brya Clark each added 10 points and Anjanae Richardson came off the bench to also score 10. Niya Fields recorded a game-high five steals to go with five points, four assists and four rebounds.

MSU VS. NSU SERIES NOTES:Â Norfolk State leads the all-time series, 27-19. The Spartans have won the last two meetings, including this season's first meeting, 62-45 in Norfolk, Va. (1/29).
NEXT UP:Â Morgan State will welcome South Carolina State to Hill Field House on Saturday, March 2 at 2 p.m. for Community, Band and Cheer Day.

2024 MEAC TOURNAMENT:Â The 2024 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) men's and women's basketball tournament is scheduled for March 13-16, 2024 at the Norfolk Scope Arena in Norfolk, Va. The annual MEAC Basketball Tournament moved to Norfolk in 2013 after spending the previous four years in Winston-Salem, N.C. from 2009 through 2012.
