BALTIMORE, Md. (Feb. 24, 2024)--Morgan State travels to the Nation's Capital on Saturday, Feb. 24 to take on Beltway rival Howard. Tip-off is at 2 p.m. at Burr Gymnasium in Washington, D.C.

MEN'S & WOMEN'S BASKETBALL RADIO: All home games and select away games for MSU men's and women's basketball will once again be available through Heritage Sports Radio Network (HSRN.com). Lamont Germany will handle play-by-play responsibilities and will also host pre-game and post-game shows. Including exclusive interviews with members of the teams and women's coach Ed Davis and men's coach Kevin Broadus. BEAR CLAWS: Morgan State (7-16, 2-6 MEAC) enters the contest on a two-game losing skid and has dropped six of its last seven games. The Lady Bears began the second half of the MEAC slate with a 58-46 loss at home to Maryland Eastern Shore (2/21). Tamaria Rumph came off the bench to score 11 points, grabbed four rebounds, had a team-high four assists and three steals, while Sedayjha Payne also came off the bench to add nine points, four boards, two steals and an assist. Anjanae Mueck played huge for Morgan, finishing with eight points, a team-high seven rebounds and a game-high four blocked shots.

BISON HOOVES: Howard (9-14, 6-3 MEAC), winners of three of its last four, is coming off a 69-51 victory at home over South Carolina State. The Bison have won three of their last four home contests. Tyana Walker scored 14 points and Marissa Steel came off the bench to score 12 points on 10-of 14 shooting at the free throw line and pulled down a game-high nine rebounds. Iyanna Warren also came off the bench and scored 10 points.
 
MSU VS. HOWARD SERIES NOTES: Howard leads the all-time series, 57-25. Howard won the series first meeting, 54-51 in Baltimore (1/27).
 
NEXT UP: Morgan State will host league leader Norfolk State on Monday, Feb. 26 for Military Appreciation Day. Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m. at Hill Field House.
 
2024 MEAC TOURNAMENT: The 2024 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) men's and women's basketball tournament is scheduled for March 13-16, 2024 at the Norfolk Scope Arena in Norfolk, Va. The annual MEAC Basketball Tournament moved to Norfolk in 2013 after spending the previous four years in Winston-Salem, N.C. from 2009 through 2012.
