GREENSBORO, N.C. (Nov. 10, 2024)--The Morgan State women's bowling team put together a successful weekend in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) #1 season opening event, as it finished with a 6-1 record, good for second place.

The Lady Bears began the all Baker format style play with back-to-back wins over Maryland Eastern Shore (1,014-926) and Alabama-Birmingham (848-804). Morgan State would suffer its lone loss to host North Carolina A&T (893-1070), before wrapping up Day 1 with a win over Howard (932-927).

Day 2 saw Morgan State continue its strong play, as the Lady Bears finished with a perfect 3-0 mark.

The Lady Bears defeated Norfolk State (964-817) in the opener and then recorded victories over Delaware State (1,017-955) and rival Coppin State (897-861).

Next Up: Morgan State will be off until the new year, when it will travel to New Castle, Del. to take part in the Northeast Classic (Jan. 17-19), hosted by Sacred Heart.
