BALTIMORE, Md. (Dec. 10, 2023) -- The Morgan State wrestling team hosted No. 22 Maryland inside Hill Field House, defeating the Bears 35-6 and winning eight of ten bouts on the afternoon.
Morgan (1-6) fell behind 5-0 after a 12-0 major decision win by No. 32 Michael North over Eric Tecson at 157 but Jacob Marsh had a big response for the Bears. The senior defeated Gaven Bell in an exciting and hard-fought 10-8 decision to get Morgan on the board, trailing 23-3.
The Bears maintained the momentum when Cort Vann managed to edge out Mason Stein, 4-3, as Maryland held a 23-6 advantage.
The Terps (2-1) added another 12 points with wins at 184, 197 and 285 to finish off the day.
