CHESAPEAKE, Va. (Feb. 20, 2022)-The Morgan State Lady Bears remain in second place in the composite standings after Saturday's round of traditional play. On Saturday, Morgan had a total pinfall of 4,822 for a 192.88 average for five games bowled.

The Bears' first match against the Hawk's of Monmouth saw a slight Bear's lead through five frames. However beginning in the sixth frame the Hawks filled every frame and struck on 24 of the 30 possible remaining frames to close out Morgan State in the first match. Leading the Bears was

In Match 2, the #6 North Carolina A&T had a balanced attack and took a lead through five frames. True to fashion, the Lady Bears battled hard to the end losing to the Aggies in a high scoring match. Leading the way again was

Natalia Miranda Vega with a 211.

Morgan State took control in the early frames and never looked back in the victory against Howard.
Ashanti Fernandes stayed hot with a 255 games giving her a three-game total of 727 at that point. All players contributed nicely.

In the final round of the day, the Bears battled Coppin State. This match featured the consistency of Morgan State at the end to get past the Lady Eagles. The Bears scoring was as follows:
