Match #3
Morgan State 917, #5 North Carolina A&T 1,074
The second buzzsaw of the day hit the Lady Bears as the fifth-ranked Aggies averaged 230 after three games. It was too many pins to make up as the Bears struggled for the second day on this same pair. Yesterday they were able to respond with a victory against a ranked opponent. Today, it was the Aggies who took control of the match in Games 2 and 3 with games of 265 and 251.

Match #4
Morgan State 1,009, University of Alabama Birmingham Forfeit
Due to an unavoidable travel conflict, a forfeit was declared by UAB which provided Morgan State with a match win. However the Bears bowled strong, averaging 201.9, which to that point had outpointed any series the Blazers had bowled on the weekend. However, in a given match, anything can happen so although the Lady Bears bowled well they would have preferred to compete.

Cheyenne Washington led all Morgan State scoring with a 21.11 Baker frame average for the weekend of 88 frames.

MSU head coach Falbo commented on the quick growth of this young Morgan State team. "Putting into perspective this team has been working together still less than three months and has accomplished so much. I remain excited for our future," said Falbo. "Teams are out there with three-year and four-year starters and naturally bowling well. As long as we keep working on getting better, more powerful and more versatile, the inherent talent within these ladies could take us to high places as this 2021-22 season progresses. Going 6-2 this weekend in conference play was outstanding. We'll get back to work in our bid for another strong weekend at next week's Coppin Invitational." Â
With its 6-2 record, this moves Morgan State's 2021-22 season record to 23-9 overall and a 6-5 record against ranked opponents.
Â
Next up for the Lady Bears is the Coppin State Invitational to be held on November 20th and 21st at AMF Woodlawn Lanes in Baltimore. MD. It will be a 2 day event featuring traditional games on Saturday and Baker play on Sunday.
