Bears Fall on the Road at N.C. Central

DURHAM, N.C. (Jan. 21, 2019) -- The Morgan State men's basketball team suffered a 92-64 loss against North Carolina Central on Monday afternoon at McDougald-McLendon Arena. Their loss to the Eagles was their fifth straight overall, and it was MSU's second straight road loss.

Senior guard Martez Cameron and freshman Sherwyn Devonish-Prince Jr. each scored 12 points for Morgan State (7-12, 2-4). The Bears' leading scorer Stanley Davis never found his rhythm. He finished with eight points on 3 for 9 shooting and shot just twice from the free throw line (2-2 FTs).

Randy Miller Jr. made seven 3-pointers and scored 27 points, two other North Carolina Central players had double-doubles.

Miller had 21 points, making all five of his shots from distance, in the first half to help NCCU build a 55-27 lead. He finished 9 of 11 from the field and only missed one 3-point attempt.

Raasean Davis had 16 points and 18 rebounds and Zacarry Douglas added 15 and 10 for NCCU (9-10, 4-1 MEAC). Larry McKnight Jr. also scored 15 and Reggie Gardner Jr. 11.

The Eagles shot 53 percent from the field, including 12 of 23 from 3-point range and dominated the Bears on the glass by
a 45-31 margin.

The Bears look to get back in the win column when they welcome Bethune-Cookman to Hill Field House on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 26).
