DELAND, Fla. (Jan. 16, 2019)-The Morgan State Lady Bears dropped a 6-1 decision on the road to Stetson on Wednesday at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.
 
Stetson (2-0) won five of the six singles matches played and claimed the doubles point for the victory.
 
Asmara Rose earned a victory at No. 2 singles over Brooke Milner 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (10-8) for the Lady Bears' lone win. Rose and Peggy Rooke would team together for a 7-5 victory at No. 1 doubles. However, Stetson would win the remaining two doubles matches to earn the point.
 
Morgan State (0-2) will now head to Tallahassee, Fla. to face MEAC foe Florida A&M (FAMU) in a non-conference match on Friday, Jan. 18. The FAMU match will not count towards the league standings.
