Morgan State's Tiwian Kendley named to MEAC All-Tournament Team

BALTIMORE, Md. – Morgan State senior guard Tiwian Kendley was named to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) All-Tournament Team on Saturday at the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia.

The Harlem product was joined by North Carolina Central's Pablo Rivas (MVP) and Raasean Davis and Hampton's Malique Trent-Street and Charles Wilson-Fisher.

Kendley recorded his 17th 20-point performance of the year against No. 6 North Carolina Central, scoring a game-high 30 points to become Morgan State's No. 25 all-time leading scorer with 1,032 points in just 44 games played during his career.
 
He also scored 30 or more points seven times, including a career-high 41-point performance against Bethune-Cookman on February 19, 2018.
 
Kendley tallied 16 points in the first round victory against No. 10 South Carolina State, followed by a 31-point performance in an upset over No. 2 seeded Bethune-Cookman in the quarterfinals in which he became the fastest player in MSU's Division 1 history to reach the 1,000-point plateau.
 
Kendley completed the season by averaging 26.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.1 steals and shot 45.3 percent from the field and 75.2 percent from the charity stripe.
