PRINCESS ANNE, Md. -- Ryan Andino knocked down a 3-pointer with 18 seconds left to cap a late rally and Maryland-Eastern Shore edged Morgan State 67-66 in the regular-season finale for both teams on Thursday night at the Hytche Athletic Center.
The Hawks snapped Morgan State's (14-15, 11-5) four game winning streak and have won the last five regular season meetings.
Andino finished with 13 points, with a trio of 3-pointers, and four rebounds. His offensive board with the Hawks trailing 64-59 and 1:47 to play sparked a timeout and then an 8-0 run as a Bakari Copeland 3-pointer and an Isaac Taylor dunk evened the game at 64.
After Andino's 3 gave Eastern Shore (12-19, 9-7 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) the 67-64 lead, Morgan State went for a Martez Cameron layup with 3.3 seconds left but didn't get the foul.
The Bears then fouled Andino with 1.9 seconds on the clock. He missed but Morgan State didn't have time for a final shot.
Tiwian Kendley led the Bears with 20 points, Martez added 12 and Phillip Carr 10.
Morgan State held a 40-29 advantage on the boards, but was outscored in the paint by a 24-14 margin.
The Bears, who entered tops in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage defense (.281), was lit up by the Hawks. Maryland-Eastern Shore connected on 8 of 17 from beyond the arc and shot 53.5 percent from the field. Morgan State shot 37.3 percent for the game and converted 16 of 18 free throws.
Maryland Eastern-Shore held a 35-33 halftime lead.

• The No. 3 seeded Bears begin their quest for the 2017 MEAC Tournament championship next week at The Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. Morgan State will begin tournament play Thursday at 6 p.m. against the winner of Tuesday night's No. 6 Coppin State-No. 11 Howard opening round game.
