Brown took an 8-7 lead after the first quarter and extended that edge to 22-7 with their 14-0 run with 6:10 to go in the half. Musgrove paced the Bears with six points during the streak, and Mehta connected on a 3-pointer.

The hosts held a 33-13 lead at the half, closing the second quarter on an 11-2 burst, including four points from sophomore Kennedy Martin.

Brown remained in control with a 51-32 advantage through three quarters and netted 10 consecutive points from the end of the third to the 8:35 mark of the fourth to pull ahead 59-32. Alexander scored seven points during the run, and Steeves hit a triple. Morgan State pulled within 59-40 with an 8-0 run, but the Bears responded with a 9-0 run, including two treys from Steeves, to gain a 68-40 lead with 2:10 to play.
