(May 16, 2014)-The Morgan State women's and men's outdoor track and field teams will compete this weekend in the 2014 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) and Intercollegiate Association of Amateur Athletes of America (IC4A) championships at William Weaver Stadium on the campus of Princeton University.
The championships open with the ECAC Heptathlon at noon on Friday, May 16 and will conclude on Sunday, May 18 with the IC4A 4X400 meter relay.
Both Morgan State squads will send eight athletes apiece to their respective championships.

Jeanelle Ovid and
Ekundayo Sogbesan will represent the Lady Bears in the ECAC championships, while
Christian Boateng,
Jefferson Butler, Ketih Davis,
Haneef Hardy,
Evan Johnson,
Onyx Johnson,
Joel Roberson and
Emmanuel Stewart will represent Morgan State in the IC4A championships.
71 institutions will be represented in the ECAC Division I women's outdoor track and field championships and 70 teams will compete in the men's IC4A championships.
Last year the Lady Bears finished tied for 22
nd with Maine with 14 points and had two top-five finishers in
Britney Wattley in the 100 meter dash and
Nichole Candelaria in the 400 meter dash. Connecticut claimed the 2013 ECAC championship for the first time since 2010, while Cornell captured the men's IC4A title, its first since 1951.
Princeton's Weaver Track & Field Stadium is a state-of-the-art facility for outdoor track and field, designed by Don Paige, the former best half-miler in the world.
