NEW YORK, N.Y. (Feb. 7, 2014)-Several members of the Morgan State women's indoor track team competed on Day 1 of the Armory Collegiate Invitational on Friday at the Armory Track & Field Center.The meet has been selected as this week's USTFCCCA Division I National Meet of Week.
Ranita Mealer placed 11
th in the shot put with a toss of 47-01.50, while
Ishakeema Swain finished 21
st in the 3000 meter run with a time of 10:20.89.
Ekundayo Sogbesan came in 19
th in the preliminaries of the 400 meter dash championship event with a time of 55.45. Nicole Candelaria ran a time of 56.97 and finished 34th.
Shenel Crooke was tied for 39
th in the 60 meter dash college preliminaries with a time of 7.96.
Teyanna Green ran a time of 7.78 in the preliminaries of the 60 meter dash championship to finish 44
th.
The Lady Bears will close out the Armory Collegiate Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 8 beginning with the women's high jump Eastern event.
