DELAND, Fla. (Feb. 7, 2014)-The Morgan State women's bowling team went 2-3 in Baker play on Friday on the opening day of the third annual Wildcat Bowling Invitational at the Sunshine Bowling Center. The Lady Bears currently sit in 11
th out of the 12-team field in total pins with 3,223.
The Lady Bears () lost to North Carolina A&T (678-653), before defeating Tulane (698-692). Morgan State then dropped back-to-back matches to McKendree (629-597) and Central Missouri (710-655). The squad then closed out the day with a win over Southern 655-595.
Morgan State returns to action on Saturday at 10 a.m., with five traditional game matches beginning with Alabama-Birmingham. The Lady Bears will also go up against Alabama State, Alabama A&M, Monmouth and host Bethune-Cookman.
