A jumper by Carrington with 8:28 remaining in the game, capped off a 31-11 run to give the Lady Bears their largest lead of the evening at 37 points (76-39) and put the game away.

The Wolverines (0-3) were led by Brionna Johnson, who finished with a team-high 21 points. Monique Miller added 13 points and Tiara White had 10.

The hosts held a slim 35-34 rebounding advantage over Wesley with Bennett finishing with seven boards for the Lady Bears. Taylor Brickhouse and White had five rebounds each to lead the Wolverines.

Morgan State shot 34-of-67 (50.7 %) from the field, including 4-of-15 (26.7 %) from three-point range with Forrest accounting for all four three-pointers.

Wesley shot 19-of-43 from the field for 44.2 % and 4-of-10 from the three-point arc for the game.
