BALTIMORE, Md. (Feb. 13, 2012)-Tierra Hawkins recorded her fifth double-double of the season, recording 25 points and 15 rebounds, both career- and game-highs to lead Delaware State to a 67-53 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference victory over Morgan State on Monday evening at Hill Field House.

Baltimore natives Chelsea Dukes came off the bench to score 16 points and had a career-high four steals and Tasia Bristow added 12 points to help the Lady Hornets end a four-game losing skid and spoil the Lady Bears' senior night.

Morgan State's Omara Parker tallied a team-high 19 points, a game-high six assists, four rebounds, a steal and a block in her final home game at Hill Field House. Fellow senior DeKeisha Mathis added seven points and five rebounds in her home finale.

Delaware State (5-19, 2-9 MEAC) used a 14-4 run to take a 19-14 advantage and held a 27-23 lead, until Morgan State got back-to-back three-pointers from Keirah Hicks to give the Lady Bears a 29-27 lead with 2:26 remaining in the opening half. However, the Lady Bears would be held scoreless the remainder of the half, as the visiting Hornets took a 32-29 halftime advantage.

Morgan State (6-19, 3-9 MEAC), which has lost its last five games, took a 40-39 second half lead on a three-pointer by Parker with 14:13 remaining in the game. That would be the host's last lead of the game.
