BEAR BITS
MSU has won eight of the last nine meetings against the Hornets.

Morgan State will enter Monday night's contest having lost five straight, including six of its last seven games.

• The Bears have used five different starting lineups in their first 22 games.

Kevin Thompson has scored in double-digits in 14 of 22 games, and has posted six double-doubles (pts & rebs) so far this season.

Redshirt sophomore Ian Chiles (7-foot-2) is the first 7-footer since MSU legend Marvin Webster to grace the campus of Morgan State University ... Chiles, a Cliffside Park, N.J. product, is currently averaging 8.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.9 blocks so far this season.

•   Give the Bears its fourth home victory of the season.

•   Snap the Bears 5-game losing streak

THE SERIES VS. THE HORNETS
•  Monday night's game will be the 87th meeting between Morgan State and DSU in men's basketball. The Bears hold a 47-39 advantage in the series.

•  Last time vs. UMES (Feb. 23, 2011): Kevin Thompson pulled down 12 rebounds as Morgan State ruled the boards and defeated Delaware State 42-39 in the lowest-scoring game of the season for both teams. Without a player scoring in double figures, the Bears (15-10, 10-3, Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) won their fifth straight by outrebounding Delaware State 42-24. Adam Braswell had nine points to lead MSU.

•  The last time Delaware State defeated the Bears was on Jan. 22, 2010. Jay Threat hit two free throws and Casey Walker drained a 3-pointer in the final moments to help Delaware State snap the Bears' 3-game winning streak with a 70-65 victory Saturday night before a packed crowd at Memorial Hall. Justin Black led the Bears with 14.

NOTE ON THE HORNETS
•  DSU had an 8-game losing streak before turning their season around by winning its last six games, including the Hornets' 84- 81 win at Coppin State on Saturday.
