Morgan State, the 2010 MEAC champions, will face Delaware State on Monday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. at Hill Field House in Baltimore, Md. The game will mark Senior Night for the Bears. MSU 14-10 will attempt to build upon a 71-55 conference win in an ESPNU televised game against MD-Eastern Shore last night at Hill Field House. Delaware State fell at Coppin State 89-72 on Monday night in Baltimore. The loss dropped the Hornets to 9-17 overall and 5-8 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.

BALTIMORE, Md. – DeWayne Jackson scored 16 points and Kevin Thompson scored 13 to help lead the Bears to a 71-54 win against MD-Eastern Shore in an ESPNU televised game at Hill Field House. The Bears were 21 of 57 (44.7 percent) from the field, including a 4-for-6 performance from Thompson, who posted his 10th double-double of the season by scoring 13 points to go along with 12 rebounds.
Delaware State's Last Game
BALTIMORE, Md. -- Coppin State shot 60% from the field en route to an 89-72 men's basketball win over Delaware State at the CSU Physical Education Complex this evening. The Hornets dropped their third straight, seventh in the last eight games, to fall to 9-17 overall and 5-8 in the MEAC.

♦ Wednesday night's game will be the 86th meeting between MSU and Delaware State in men's basketball.
♦ The Bears hold a 46-39 advantage in the series ... MSU won seven straight meetings against the Hornets before falling 60-55 in Dover on Jan. 22, 2011.
♦ The Hornets most notable win against the Bears in recent years was during the 2007 MEAC Basketball Tournament semifinals when they dropped the Bears 56-53 in overtime in Raleigh, N.C.

♦ MSU junior Kevin Thompson, the 2010 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year, continues to be one of the league's most dominant post players.
♦ Thompson has started the 2010-11 season by averaging 12.5 ppg and 8.7 rpg and has recorded 10 double-double performances in 24 games, including a 25 points and 10 rebounds outing against LaSalle (Nov. 20).
♦ Thompson will enter the Wednesday's contest fresh off of recording 13 points and 12 rebounds in a win over MD-Eastern Shore.
♦ Thompson made a string of 12 straight baskets, including a perfect night (9-9 FG) against VMI (Feb. 19).

♦ Todd Bozeman will be attempting to win his 100th game as Morgan State's head coach … his current record is 99-56 (,639) in 5 seasons.
♦ DSU will attempt to slow down the No. 4 ranked scoring team (68.5) in the MEAC when they host Morgan State on Wednesday ... The Hornets have the conference's No. 3 ranked scoring defense and have limited opponents to an average of 66.5 points per game.
♦ Morgan State completed the 2009-10 season as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference champs, it marked the Bears second consecutive MEAC Title and they also captured their third consecutive regular season title ... the Bears are currently tied for 1st place with Bethune-Cookman with three conference losses apiece.
♦ Morgan State was picked to finish as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference champs again this year … the Bears received 20 first place votes and totaled 476 points to garner the league's top position for the second year in a row.
