Legacy Meet Heat Sheets

BALTIMORE, Md. (April 9, 2010)-It's that time again track fans! The annual Morgan State Legacy Meet returns to Hughes Stadium on Friday, April 16 and concludes on Saturday, April 17.

This year's Legacy Meet will honor the MSU track and field classes of 1951-1955. The meet gets underway on Friday at noon with the decathlon and heptathlon along with the men's and women's javelin and hammer throw.

Day 2 gets underway on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with the conclusion of the decathlon and heptathlon, followed by the start of the rest of the field events (shot put, discus, pole vault, high jump, long jump and triple jump. The running events get started on 10 a.m. with the 3000 steeplechase. The excitement of the 4X400 relays is scheduled to begin at 4:35 p.m., which will conclude the event. 

This will be the second track meet the Bears have hosted this year. The school hosted the second annual Morgan State High School Invitational Classic Opener on March 27, which was a success. We look forward to seeing all track fans and Morgan State supporters this year. Don't miss this historic event!

Morgan State track fans can watch video of the Bears and Lady Bears athletes while they compete at various meets at www.flotrack.org. While on the website, fans can watch Morgan State's recent performance from the Pepsi Florida Relays, as well as upcoming meets such as the Penn Relays, ECAC/IC4A and NCAA Regional Meets.
