Morgan State, which opened up the game with a three-pointer by another Saint Louis native, senior Brittany Noel, held a 5-3 lead before the host Billikens used a 10-7 spurt to take a 13-7 lead. SLU would extend its lead to as much as 22-14 after a three-pointer by Geralds with 6:48 left to play, but Morgan State countered with a 9-1 run to reclaim the lead (25-23) on a layup by Theresa Davis.
