The Morgan State cross country teams open up the season on Sept. 4 at the Baltimore Metro Meet.
BALTIMORE, Md. (Aug. 24, 2009)-The 2009 Morgan State men's and women's cross country teams will begin their 2009 season on Friday, Sept. 4, when they take part in the Baltimore Metro Meet held at Oregon Ridge Park.
The schedule will feature six regular season races for the men and five for the women's team. The men's will compete on Sept. 12 at the Navy Invitational in Annapolis, Md., while the women's team will take part in the Towson Invitational at Oregon Ridge Park. Both races will kick off at 10 a.m.
The following week on Sept. 19, both squads will travel to Princess Anne, Md., to participate in the annual Cappy Anderson Meet, hosted by Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) foe, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES). On Oct. 3 the teams will head to Dover, Del., for the Delaware State Invitational and will end the regular season in Newark, Del., for the Delaware Invitational, hosted by the University of Delaware on Oct. 17. The MEAC championship will be held on Oct. 31 in Princess Anne, Md., and will be hosted by UMES.
Last season the Lady Bears finished sixth, while the Bears placed ninth at the MEAC championships.
