Bowling Goes 5-5 at Final MEAC North Match-up

BALTIMORE, Md. (Dec. 7, 2009)-The Lady Bears bowling team competed in their final MEAC North competition of  2009-2010 season over the weekend hosted by Coppin State University. Morgan State won five matches, while losing five to remain in fourth place in the northern division behind Delaware State, Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) and Hampton.

 

On Saturday, Dec. 6, bowling the traditional team games, the Lady Bears won three (3) matches and lost two (2) with wins over Hampton (889-865), Coppin State (868-764) and Maryland Eastern Shore (1039-970). The team's losses came to Delaware State (938-961) and Howard (762-852).

 

On Sunday, bowling in Baker matches the Lady Bears won two (2) matches and lost three (3). Morgan State defeated Howard (754-564) and Coppin State (731-673). They lost to Hampton (692-694), UMES (755-806) and Delaware State (715-761).

 

The most outstanding performer for the Lady Bears was Ashley Milbourne, who averaged 193 for five games and had a high game of 255.  

 

The next competition for the Lady Bears will be in Little Rock, AK on Friday, Jan. 15 through Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, hosted by Arkansas State University.
