The Opening Tip

Morgan State, the 2009 MEAC champion, will play its final game of the Hall of Fame Classic when they tip-off in non-conference action against Appalachian State. Tip-off is scheduled for Saturday at 7 p.m. in Holmes Center. The game will mark the first ever match-up between the teams.

The Last Time Out
Reggie Holmes scored a career-high 34 points, including a pair of free throws with 6.3 seconds remaining to lead Morgan State to a 97-94 upset victory against Arkansas on Tuesday night at Bud Walton Arena before 7,468 fans.

Mountaineers' Last Game
Donald Sims was hot from downtown with five treys in 10 attempts, but it was not enough to power Appalachian State University men's basketball past No. 16 Louisville, as the Mountaineers fell 80-53 on Monday evening at Freedom Hall.

Series History
Saturday night's game will be the first meeting between Morgan State and Appalachian State in men's basketball.

Home In December
Following Appalachian State, Morgan will be home against Loyola on December 1st. It will be the first of three home games in the month of December (Dec. 12 vs. Manhattan & Dec. 22 vs. Towson.
