BOLDEN BUZZER BEATER SINKS WILLIAM JESSUP, 70-68

MORAGA, Calif. -- Jermaine Bolden hit a 17-footer from the baseline as the final buzzer sounded and Morgan State held off William Jessup 70-68 in the Shamrock Office Solutions Classic on Saturday night.
Bolden finished with 10 points and five assists and Reggie Holmes scored 21 points to lead Morgan State (4-6) in coach Todd Bozeman's return to the Bay Area.  

Holmes, who entered the contest as the Bears' leading scorer, hit 5-of-14 shots from the field, including 4-for-9 from beyond the arc.
 
Marquise Kately added 13 points and seven rebounds for the Bears, who overcame 17 turnovers but had a 44-34 rebounding advantage.
 
Lucas Birchard had 22 points and six boards for William Jessup, while Zack Sowers added 20 points and eight rebounds and Matt Cassell 13 points.

The Bears will take on host St. Mary's on Sunday night at McKeon Pavilion in the finale of the Shamrock Office Solutions Classic. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PST.
St. Mary's defeated the San Jose State Spartans last Saturday night 87-78.
