BALTIMORE, Md. --Following a tough loss at LaSalle last Saturday, the Morgan State men's basketball team will host the UMBC Retrievers on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. The Retrievers, who earned an NCAA Tournament berth last season, posted a 91-54 victory their season-opener against Stevenson.  Morgan State will attempt to exact some payback for last season's 84-76 loss to UMBC at RAC Arena.

The Bears and Retrievers prepare for their 24th meeting in the series since 1970 … UMBC leads the overall series, 13-10 … Morgan State won the first contest during the 1970-71 season, 90-58 at Hill Field House ... The Retrievers downed Stevenson, 91-54 on Saturday afternoon at RAC Arena ... Bozeman finished the season with a career record of 98-64 in five seasons as a collegiate head coach. He is 35-29 in his two seasons as the Bears' head coach, including a sensational 21-4 mark in home games. In fact for the first time in school history the Bears finished the season unbeaten at home as they posted an impressive 12-0 mark at Hill Field House.

Hill Field House - New Floor For 2008-09
This is the 34th season of play in Hill Field House. The Bears will open the 2008-09 season on a brand new wood floor that was installed earlier in this fall. The floor was designed by the MSU Athletics Department and made by Dura-Glo  Flooring based out of Westbury, New York.
