Five Bears Selected to 2006 All-Conference Team

BALTIMORE, Md. -- Morgan State linebacker Darius Leak was selected to the All-Conference First Team. Leak leads a list of (5) five Bear members selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference announced its All-Conference First and Second Teams. The MEAC’s head coaches and sports information directors made the selections.

Leak completed his collegiate career at Morgan State as one of the school’s top linebackers. Leak finished ’06 as the MEAC’s leading tackler with 93 tackles (43 solo). Leak also recorded five tackles for loss including five fumble recoveries.

"Darius has been a stellar contributor for our team ever since he's been here," said MSU head coach Donald Hill-Eley. "He is very deserving of the honor and we wish him the best as he pursues a playing career on the next level."

The Bears had (5) five players selected to the MEAC’s First Team and (4) four honored on the Second Team. It was the most All-conference selections for Morgan since 2003 where they finished with (8) eight.

The All-MEAC 2nd Team selections included RB Chad Simpson, OL Cliff Louis, DE Terrell Floyd and SS Everett Baker.
