The Morgan State Lady Bears capped a tough day with a loss to Princeton in the Morgan State Volleyball Invitational Tournament on Friday.
MSU (1-7, 0-0 MEAC)Â fell to the Tigers 3-0 (16-30,30-32,24-30) in a match played at Hill Field House on the MSU campus.
Offense was hard to come by for the Blue and Orange, as the Lady Bears hit only .145 for the match. The Morgan attack was led by Korinne Lewis and Esther Johnson who each collected 7 kills. Ms. Johnson added 13 digs to the Lady Bear cause.
Princeton placed four hitters in double figures in kills. The leading Tiger was Alex Brown who had a 14 kill performance.
Princeton finished the day 2-0, while MSU completed the first day of the tournament 0-2.
