The Morgan State Lady Bears completed a season sweep over the Howard University Lady Bison with a big win in Washington, DC on Tuesday night. MSU defeated Howard 3-0 (30-14,30-26,30-22).
MSU set the tone early and never looked back on their way to the road win over HU. The Lady Bears held Howard to -.098 hitting and maintained control over the Lady Bison for virtually the entire match.
The Lady Bears were led by Esther Johnson who collected 11 kills for the evening. Korinne Lewis, and Mandisa Richardson each contribute 10 kills to the Morgan State victory.
Junel Jeffries set up the Morgan offense with 32 assists.
The Lady Bears return to action on Thursday, November 3, 2004 when they tangle with the Lady Hawks of MD-Eastern Shore in Princess Anne, MD.
