Ashley Kilgore enjoys strong weekend at MEAC Championships.
The Morgan State University Lady Bears bowled in the MEAC championships last weekend in Dover, DE. MSU won 7 individual matches while losing only two (2) matches. The team finished fifth in the MEAC Championships.
The Lady Bears enjoyed wins over UMES, Coppin, Hampton, Delaware State, South Carolina State, and FAMU. Their only losses were to Howard and Bethune Cookman.
Ashley and Heather Kilgore finished third in the doubles competition with a total pin fall of 1174 behind Howard and A & T.
The weekend’s most outstanding performer for the Lady Bears was Heather Kilgore. Heather had a high game of 235 and a three game series of 647. She averaged 197 for the tournament.
The Lady Bears return to the lanes to participate in the Triad Classic, hosted by North Carolina A & T in Greensboro, NC on Saturday and Sunday November 15-16, 2003.
