The Morgan State University Lady Bear Cross-Country squad completed their season with a 5th place finish at the MEAC Cross-Country Championships in Greensboro, NC on Saturday morning.
The Howard University Bison won the championships, finishing the event with 32 points. The Bison were followed by; Hampton (41 points), Norfolk State (78), MD-Eastern Shore (107 points), MSU (189 points), N.C. A&T (200 points), Bethune-Cookman (204 points), Delaware State (216 points), Coppin State (222 points) and South Carolina State (265 points).
Florida A&M did not compete in the championships.
The top female finisher in the meet was Tasha Harris of Howard University. She broke the tape in a time of 18:47.
The top female finisher for Morgan State was Nichelle Gibbs (St. Thomas, V.I./Eleanor Roosevelt HS) who finished the course in 16th place in a time of 20:17.
