BOSTON, Mass. – Morgan State's 4x400 meter relay team junior Lloyd Hylton each captured titles to lead the Bears at the 2017 BU John Thomas Terrier Classic this weekend.
 
Akhenaton Pierre, Kevin Leach, Joel Roberson, and Onyx Johnson combined to finish the 4x400 relay in 3:12.58, crossing the tape in front of Rhode Island (3:12.99) and Stony Brook (3:15,98. It marked the fastest 4x400 time for the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) so far this season.

Hylton captured the long jump -- his second outright title this season -- with a personal-best after traveling 7.48 meters. Nigel Thompson placed fifth with a leap of 7.07 meters.
 
In the 400 meter dash, Joel Roberson placed eighth clocking in with a season-best 47.92, which is currently the top time in the MEAC.
  
Devon Hairston finished in fifth place in the 60 meter hurdles in a time of 8.25, while teammate Wilfred Asamoah placed seventh with a mark of 8.28.
 
Morgan State will head to New York for the two-day (Feb. 3-4) Armory Collegiate Invitational, featuring some of the top-25 Division I squads and professionals from around the country.
