Morgan State Media Day Set For Saturday, Aug. 18 at Hughes Stadium

BALTIMORE, Md. -- Head Coach Donald Hill-Eley's Bear football team will begin their 2012 campaign Monday, August 6 when all student-athletes report for preseason practice.

Morgan State returns 63 lettermen and 14 starters from last year's squad, headed by center Jerry Evans, quarterback Seth Higgins, linebacker Allen Stephens and cornerback Joe Rankin.

In the preseason poll released by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), the Bears were predicted to finish seventh by the coaches and sports information directors.

MSU's first official day of practice will begin Monday at 4 p.m. at Hughes Stadium. The scrimmages are scheduled for August 18 and August 25.

The Bears open the season at Hughes Stadium against Sacred Heart on Saturday, September 1. MSU has a total of four home games, and will face Hampton in the season-finale at Yankees Stadium for the NYUL Whitney Young Classic on Nov. 17.

This year's homecoming will be on October 13 against conference opponent North Carolina Central.
