"It's an honor to receive this award. It means so much for not only me, but also my team," said Fletcher. "Morgan softball deserves to be seen and represented well in the softball world. After all the hard work, it's good to know it paid off finally."

A native of Huntington, Md., Fletcher repeated as Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Year after earning the award during the 2023 season. Fletcher would help the Lady Bears claim their fourth straight MEAC regular season crown and set the school record for wins (35), while capturing the program's second MEAC title and second NCAA appearance. She would also be named Most Outstanding Player of the MEAC Tournament.

Playing as a pitcher and infielder, Fletcher collected an ERA of 1.96, while throwing 85.2 innings. In 21 appearances with 16 starts, she recorded a 9-6 record with four complete games and a save. Fletcher struck out 60 batters and was named MEAC Pitcher of the Week three times throughout the season. At the plate, Fletcher had a .360 batting average with a slugging percentage of .567 and an on-base percentage of .418.
