Matthew "Mack" Payne was captain of the "Dream Basketball Team", 1926-27 -- Defeated World Champs, Renaissance Club.

A great playmaker--a sharpshooter, bringing to Morgan its First Championship of any kind. A long time successful Coach - Baseball - Football -- Also winning M.S.A. Title in basketball.

Retired because of illness. Living in Baltimore, Maryland.
