Rosedom was a native of Baltimore and attended Douglass High school. He came to Morgan in 1931 and vowed to make the football squad that was the 1930 C.I.A.A champions. That dream became a reality in his freshman year and he held a regular position for four years, making "All-C.I.A.A." in 1933 and 34'.

"Rosie" was big, strong and rugged on defense and a great performer on offense. He was known on the Morgan line as the "Solid Block." He had no peers as a protector and was a "sure fire" tackler.

His efforts enabled Morgan to enjoy success in 1932, '33 and '34. He was cool under pressure and was recognized as one of the great lineman of the thirties. He was a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, the student Council and the Y.M.C.A.

Notable accomplishments of George's include: Supervisor with the Department of Public Welfare, teacher of adult education, parole officer at Cheltenham School for Boys, supervisor of probation for the Supreme Bench of Baltimore, First Black to serve as assistant State's attorney- 1954, member of the Monumental Bar Association, member of the National Bar Association, member of the Frontiers of America and he represented the Board of Trustees of Morgan.

George departed this life on february 28, 1964 and is survived by his lovely wife, Ruth Ticknor Rosedom.
