Dorothy Buford earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2001 from Morgan State University. She also earned a Master of Art Psychology with a focus in Counseling, and earned a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from California State University, Sacramento.
She is co-owner of 3 Point Real Estate & Construction, Inc.; a corporation created with her husband in 2011.
She was a member of the Morgan State University Women's Volleyball Team from 1997-2000. Dorothy has an impressive set of individual performance records.

Dorothy stays active in her community through sports engagement with the youth. She married Chris in 2006 becoming Mrs. MacPhail, and had a daughter Mikayla in 2007, son Mathias in 2009 and son Major, in 2013.
