NORFOLK, Va. - The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) will host the annual Football Press Luncheon, Friday, July 29 at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott Hotel. MEAC head football coaches will be on hand to offer an inside view on the upcoming 2011 football season.
The 2011 Preseason Predicted Order of Finish and All-MEAC First and Second Team selections will also be announced at the Luncheon.
The 2011 MEAC football season kicks off on Thursday, September 1 featuring two non-conference matchups including North Carolina Central at Rutgers and South Carolina State against Central Michigan.
In addition to the SCSU Bulldogs, defending conference co-champions Bethune-Cookman and Florida A&M will open the regular season on Saturday and Sunday, September 3 and 4. Florida A&M will host Division II opponent Fort Valley State in Tallahassee on Saturday. Bethune-Cookman will face Prairie View in the seventh annual MEAC/SWAC Challenge on Sunday in Orlando, Florida.
The Morgan State Bears will kick-off the 2011 season against the Towson Tigers on Saturday, Sept. 3rd.
