Senior tackle Lawrence Brewer

Tracy Martin of Morgan State University was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Co-Rookie of the Week and
Lawrence Brewer was selected as the Offensive Lineman of the Week for the week ending October 30, 2011 the league announced.
Jackie Wilson of Bethune-Cookman was selected as Offensive Player of the Week, while Corwin Hammond of Norfolk State earned Defensive Player of the Week. North Carolina A&T's D'Vonte Grant was the Co-Rookie of the Week and South Carolina State's Blake Erickson was selected as the Special Teams Player of the Week.
Martin had a great day during the Bears' win against Delaware State on October 29 in Dover (Del). The redshirt-freshman running back collected a game-high 154 yards on 38 carries and posted the only points of the game when he scored two touchdowns.
Brewer, a Fort Washington, Md. product, anchored an offensive line and didn't allow a single sack as the Bears posted 312 total offensive yards in a 12-0 win against Delaware State. The senior left tackle graded out a 98-percent of his assignments while helping the Bears post 289 yards on the ground and he racked up five pancake blocks.
The Bears (5-3, 4-1) resume their schedule on Saturday when they travel to Daytona (Fla.) for a conference matchup against the Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman (5-3, 3-2). Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 5th at Municipal Stadium. There will be a live radio broadcast of the game on WEAA, 88.9 FM.
