BALTIMORE, Md. – Morgan State plays its first conference road game of the season on Saturday afternoon in a matchup with Florida A&M. The game is the first in a two-game Florida swing, with the Bears staying south for a Monday matchup at Bethune-Cookman at 2 p.m.
The Bears improved to 3-0 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference following a 74-70 win against Norfolk State on Monday night at Hill Field House.
Marquise Kately paced the Bears by matching a season-high with 16 points, while
Kevin Thompson posted 15 points and had a game-high nine rebounds.
Morgan State is 6-2 in its last 8 games, and is on a 3-game winning streak. The two losses were against Saint Mary's (76-60) and at Washington (81-67).
Florida A&M pulled out a 76-75 double-overtime win at home against Hampton. Joe Ballard and Dale Hughes poured in 17 points apiece and the Rattlers shot 12-for-25 (.480) from 3-point territory.

The Bears dropped their first three road contests, losing at LaSalle (64-61), Manhattan (61-60) and Ole Miss (78-70), and posted big win at DePaul (79-75) and Maryland (66-65). The Bears are currently 2-5 on the road.
